I just can’t stop talking about food! Hahaha! Manila is indeed a great place for ‘makan’! You can simply find some influences of its previous colonizer, the Spanish, in its dishes. Seafood and rice You can easily find fresh seafood here in Manila. We had a big piece of grilled fish steak and ‘la-la’ (clam) soup served with white rice on banana leaves. It gave me a homely feel when having food served on banana leaves. If I’m not mistaken, you can find this restaurant along Abel Nosce Street in Las Pinas City. While people like to stand amazed looking at human-build structures where they call them wonders of the world, I find it a tad boring.
